About the Lansdowne

Bob and Margaret are pleased to welcome you to The Lansdowne.

We purchased The Lansdowne at the end of 2006 and have now completed the refurbishment of all our en-suite bedrooms.

The Lansdowne was once a private school, known as The Lansdowne House School, and it later became The Hillside School for Young Ladies which was a Church of England boarding school. It closed in 1938 and later became a hotel.

We have tried to include as much information as we think you may require on this site, but please Contact Us if we can be of any further help.
