Public Rooms at Lansdowne House
DINING ROOM
Breakfast is served between 8:30am-9:30am Monday-Friday, 8:30am-10:00am Saturday & Sunday in our dining room. Apart from the continental breakfast which you help yourself with cereals, freshly prepared fruits, yogurts, overnight oats and pastries, we are also offering a cooked breakfast menu including Traditional Full Breakfast, Scrambled Egg with Smoke Salmon, Welsh Rarebit, Crispy Bagel, Toasted Tea Cake, Buttered Crumpets with honey with table service. Tea, coffee, juice and toasts will also be served.
BAR LOUNGE
Our bright and comfortable bar lounge is situated at the front of the hotel. This room has a television with sub-titles and radio stations for your enjoyment.
TOURIST INFORMATION
We have information on local tourist attractions and local restaurants available in you Guest Information folders in your bedroom or on this website.
Booking Procedure
We request that all reservations are confirmed with a deposit of the cost of the first night’s stay which is payable by debit/credit card.
Please see our Cancellation Policy within the Terms and Conditions section.
We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover you for cancellation caused by unforseen circumstances. and would respectfully remind guests that a reservation consitutes a contract.
REGISTRATION
On arrival your room will be available from 3.00p.m. We would kindly ask that you vacate your room by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure which allows our housemaids enough time to get the rooms ready for the next guests to check-in.
PAYMENT
Payment can be made by cash, debit /credit card or bank transfer. We do not accept cheques.
INTERNET ACCESS
Free wireless broadband internet access is available in the public areas and in all of our bedrooms.
THE HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS OR A LIFT
NO PETS
For the general benefit of all guests and the Lansdowne décor we unfortunately have a no pets policy.
NO FOOD IN BEDROOM
We have a private bar, a very large and comfortable dining area, which we make available to residents most evenings, where you can consume food from local takeaways, your own sandwiches etc. We don’t allow eating meals in bedrooms because of a desire to protect floors and bed linen.
SMOKING
We have a strict no smoking policy throughout the hotel.
We reserve the right to impose a cleaning charge up to £75 per room to remove tobacco smells. Smoking in the hotel grounds and car park is permitted, but would ask that you have consideration for any guests with open bedroom windows.
IRONING
An iron and board is available for your use upon request.
